A A Milne

It was snowing here the other day. Coming from NZ, snow is romantic to me, it’s wet like rain, but soft, fluffy, and stirs up the same exotic feelings that Icelanders probably have about Tonga (whereas i just think Tonga -- coconuts). I showed this piece to Rikki and he worried that i’d gone all gay, truth is, I’m just experimenting with cameras and editing and effects and whatnot. It’s doesn’t look the way it did in my head when i conceived of the idea, but i imposed a one day edit rule on myself in order to sharpen my final cut pro skills (plus i had a hot date that night with a tight little Mongolian dude, and i needed time to wax). It’s the little differences that make travelling interesting, in playgrounds in Mongolia, they’ve got statues of penguins, polar bears, seals, and octopi … in Tonga i bet they’ve got turtles, taro and … ummm … coconuts? Every time a coconut, can’t turn around without tripping over a bloody coconut. Trainspotters -- the music is from the Jesse James soundtrack -- dirty ol Nick Cave. Coconut. just had to say it again.

p.s HD is compulsory on this piece, otherwise you can’t see the snow.

Back to the Future??? I’m confused

So,as promised, here is our ‘Back to the Future to be continued …’ a sequel/prequel/companion piece to our last piece about getting Gorki into her new home.

It seems that back to the future is cropping up a lot, evidence to the fact Marty Mcfly was the coolest role model we had as kids, and that Robert Zemickis is a masterful “imaginator” (although i will never forgive ‘beowulf)’. Being new to the editing process, we are still learning how to crop a story together, and the messy move was too much to fit into one little minicast, so we pulled a Tarantino, and decided to make the audience shell out for two ticket stubs to watch the one movie. (Ha! Suck You Quentin -- I downloaded them both!) Hope you like it, it’s an action spectacular, heavy machinery, violent demolishing, a car chase (sort of), and ice in Rikki’s beard -- something for everyone.

First steps

The journey has begun, ok so we haven’t quite hit the road yet, but moves are being made. The above clip is a piece that shows the begining stages of the exciting journey that is planned. You get to see us, the truck and the new Truck the World HQ, we tried to find an underground base, but a old spare garage at the local Medical University had to do.

The clip is in HD video format, for your viewing plesure, as this is really some of the first HD content we have posted , hit us with any comments or if you have issues seeing the content in high definition.
